As much as we love winter for its ability to make us feel cozy, colorful and sip our favorite rum by the bonfire, we also cannot deny the fact that it also brings freezing cold temperatures, usually exacerbated by strong winds.

Winter is finally here and like every year I wasn’t prepared for it, it caught me unarmed, especially with inadequate winter accessories. But this time, I decided to do something special for myself and my loved ones. That’s how I came up with the idea of making ear muffs for everyone in the family. Follow this step by step article and by the end of it, you will master the art yourself.

Raw materials

Hair band, velvet cloth, bangle, black cloth, glue gun, white color pencil and scissor

Step 1:

Take the bangle and draw two adjacent outlines on the black cloth. Then cut it neatly with the scissor, keeping the two circles attached to each other.

Step 2:

Take the black circle cloth and place it on top of the velvet to draw its outline and cut it out with a scissor.

Step 3:

Now, take the cotton and stick it between the velvet and one circle of the black cloth using the glue gun, keep the other circle of the black cloth free, to use it while attaching the muffs with the hair band. Use ample amount of glue, so that the materials remain intact to each other. Repeat the process to make another muff for the next ear.

Step 4:

Apply glue on both sides of the black cloth and stick it to the ends of the hair band. Press it properly so that the muffs don’t fall off from the hair band and to keep it in shape. Leave it for some time to dry.

And that’s a wrap. In few minutes you’ll have your very own handmade ear muffs, that too effortlessly. Make more of it for your little ones in varied colors or as a gift for your friends.
